We provide you with service information on https://www.argonevents.com/. If there is anything which you do not understand, or if you wish to obtain further information, please contact our Customer Services team on: info(a)argon-direct.com.
We make every effort to ensure that the pricing displayed on our website is correct. However, if an error in the pricing of a service is found we reserve the right to either cancel your order or contact you to arrange payment of any extra sum due or refund any over-payment made by you (as applicable). We reserve the right to alter all service pricing without notice.
Service images and screenshots are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual service.
All prices include VAT (where applicable) at the current rates.
Placing an order
You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgement, detailing the services you have ordered. Any order placed by you for services advertised on our website is an offer by you to purchase the services selected in your order. No contract exists between you and us for the provision of services until we have received your order and accepted it (which we may do at our discretion). We will send you an order acknowledgement shortly after you place your order, notifying you that we have received your order. This acknowledgement is not notification that we have accepted your order.
Our acceptance of an order takes place when we activate the service or send you confirmation by email, even if your payment has been processed immediately.
We may refuse in our discretion to accept an order:
(a) where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;
(b) if there has been a pricing or product description error; or
(c) if you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions.
(d) services or information ordered by you are not available;
Where we do not accept your order but have processed your payment, we will re-credit your account with any amount deducted by us from your debit or credit card as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to pay any additional amount as compensation for disappointment.
You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase services from our site. The use of our website may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the use of the services you purchase.
Payment
Payment can be made by any of the options advertised on our website. Full payment shall be due before commencement of service.
When placing an order for one of our holidays, the full amount of the holiday is payable plus all applicable insurance premiums (if required)
Deposits. Argon Events will accept a deposit of £100.00 per person on most holidays (unless otherwise stated). Deposits are accepted by Argon Events on the strict acceptance by the customer that the deposit is non-refundable.
Final balances are to be received by Argon Events on or before the date stipulated for each holiday, unless otherwise agreed at the time of placing the deposit (please check individual Events, as staggered payment plans are in place on several Festivals).
Where the value of the deposit is less than the value of the Event Ticket, Argon Events may require that an intermediate payment, of an amount equal to the value of the Event Ticket is paid in advance of the final balance date. Payments made up to the value of the Event Ticket are non-refundable.
It shall be the responsibility of the customer to forward the balance within the time allowed. If the balance price of the holiday (or any intermediate payment as described above) is not received by Argon Events within the time allowed, Argon Events reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation charges as set out under our cancellation terms below.
Argon Events or their agents will not accept deposits within 8 weeks prior to departure, except in situations as described below.
For Tours that only become available at or within 8 weeks of departure, deposits may be acceptable at the discretion of Argon Events and details of when the balance of payment is due will be given at the time of booking.
Where two or more people are included on the same booking, the person purchasing the booking shall be deemed to do so on the basis that he/she acts as an agent (Group Leader) for all members of the party and accepts these booking conditions on behalf of each member of the party.
Our secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorised third party to intercept the data. Your browser will confirm that you are shopping in a secure environment by showing either a locked padlock icon or an image of a padlock next to the payment details in the relevant area of the Website.
To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases.
By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
During security checks we may ask for additional information or documentation to help support the data you supplied.
Cancellation
As already described under Payment above, in the event of customer cancellation, deposits are non-refundable, payments made up to the value of the Event Ticket are non-refundable.
Cancellations by the customer. Customers may cancel Event bookings by giving notice in writing to Argon Events.
When notice of cancellation is given to Argon Events before the final balance date and after the interim payment date, Argon Events shall be entitled to retain 50% of the full value of the holiday booking, or the value of the Event ticket price, whichever is the greater. When notice of cancellation is given after the final balance date, Argon Events shall be entitled to retain the whole of the full value of the holiday booking.
Cancellation by Argon Events. Argon Events reserve the right to cancel any Tour on which there are insufficient bookings made to justify its departure. In the unlikely event of this happening, you will be advised at least 8 weeks (or before the full balance of your holiday is due) prior to departure and will be entitled to a full refund of all monies paid.
If you wish to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (an e-mail to info(a)argon-direct.com will suffice).
To meet the cancellation deadlines, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation periods have expired.
In the event of cancellation by you or by Argon Events and where partial or full reimbursement is due, we will make the reimbursement within 14 days of the cancellation. Where bookings have been paid in full by credit or debit card in two or less payments, monies due will be refunded back to the appropriate card.
Prices
We can change your holiday price after you’ve booked, only in certain circumstances:
Changes in [the price of the carriage of passengers resulting from changes to the cost of fuel or other power sources] [the level of taxes or fees imposed by third parties including tourist taxes, embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports] or [exchange rates] mean that the price of your travel arrangements may change after you have booked. However, there will be no change within 20 days of your departure.
We will absorb, and you will not be charged for, any increase equivalent to 2% of the price of your travel arrangements, which excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges. You will be charged for the amount over and above that. If this results in an increase equivalent to more than 8% of the price of your travel arrangements, you will have the option of accepting a change to another holiday if we are able to offer one (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of a lower value), or cancelling and receiving a full refund of all monies paid, except for any amendment charges. Should you decide to cancel, you must do so within the time period shown on your final invoice.
Should the price of your holiday go down due to the cost changes mentioned above, then any refund due will be paid to you. We will deduct from this refund our administrative expenses incurred. Please note that travel arrangements are not always purchased in local currency and some apparent changes have no impact on the price of your travel due to contractual and other protection in place.

Argon Events will not incur any liability whatsoever in the event of any delay due to causes beyond its control, which include (but are not limited to) the following:

In this event, our responsibility for their holiday will thereupon immediately cease and we will not be liable for any costs or expenses incurred by them as a result.

Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the services.
